Fintech Policy Leaders Forum
Decentralized Finance (“De-Fi”) is not just a catch phrase, but a structural development affecting the operations of financial services providers and intermediaries.
Rarely, however, are discussions about “DeFi” arising in an interdisciplinary manner, allowing for the contrast and comparison of structural changes across industries. With this in mind, IIEL Faculty Director, Professor Chris Brummer launched the Fintech Policy Leaders Forum, a platform for convening periodic conversations with stakeholders across industry, governmental, and non-profit sectors.
The first session was co-hosted by IIEL and the Barbados Financial Services Commission; participants from across the globe met in Bridgetown, Barbados to discuss how decentralized finance plays out across crypto/crypto infrastructures, open banking, and cybersecurity.
